- Your files are never touched by a restore
kernel-auxinuxos kernelWhy AuxiNuxOS
Designed for people discovering Linux
Everything that makes the switch simple, without forcing anything on you.
A mistake? Roll back
Before every update or package install, a BTRFS snapshot is taken. The system returns to its previous state in one step; /home is never touched.
Boot protection
If the desktop fails to start twice in a row, a rescue console offers a restore; on the third failure, the restore is automatic.
Your privacy is not a product
No telemetry, no mandatory cloud account, no ads. KDE telemetry is turned off and the UFW firewall is included.
Nothing is chosen for you
On first boot, a wizard lets you pick your browser, media player, tools and usage profile. Nothing is installed until you confirm.
Your Windows apps have a home
Double-click an .exe: the wizard suggests a Linux alternative, an isolated Bottles space, or plain Wine.
Ready for gaming
Kernel with NTSYNC for Wine/Proton, 32 and 64-bit Vulkan, gamemode, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro and Steam controllers.
AuxiNux OS Center
One control centre for everything
The AuxiNux OS Center brings together what you need every day:
- Applications — Flathub by default, AuxiNux DEB packages as an alternative;
- Updates — apps and system, with a snapshot taken first;
- Health — disk, memory, services, boot, with plain-language advice;
- Restore — your restore points and the “Original state”;
- Sources and Settings — repositories, usage profile, APT policy.
